CAMERON UGBODU is an autodidact Nigerian and Austrian multidisciplinary artist, using art to contemplate identity and the space surrounding them. Influences and techniques from their family from Edo state and Austria shape their practice. Their work explores cosmic space and terrestrial nature, gazing outwards towards the future while remaining anchored in heritage.
CALEB ADEBAYO FOLORUNSO is a professor of Archaeology at the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Archaeology from the University of Ibadan and a Doctorate from Université Paris I, Sorbonne. He served as Head of the Department at UI for nine years between 1995 and 2010.
CHIKA OKEKE-AGULU is an artist, critic, and art historian, and Director of Africa World Initiative, and Robert Schirmer Professor of Art & Archaeology and African American Studies, Princeton University. He is co-editor of Nka: Journal of Contemporary African Art, a member of board of trustees of Global Studies University, Sharjah, UAE, and Fellow of The British Academy.
DAVID ODIASE is a fantastic rebel and multi-disciplinary dreamer whose art revolves around the intersections of literature (poetry), performance, film, technology and experimental art forms. As a member of the African Narrative Collective, his works explore nuances about Africa, its histories, people and cultures. His films have made official selections at international film festivals, and was a finalist at the 2023 Emmys’ International Young Creative Award.
ENOTIE OGBEBOR is a Nigerian multidisciplinary visual artist and singer/composer known for his large- scale paintings and sculptures. His works draw from the rich cultural heritage and history of Africa, and they examine the history, colonial/post-colonial eras, and how they shape the contemporary African experience.
ETINOSA YVONNE is a self-taught documentary photographer and visual artist based in Nigeria. She has received grants from various organizations including CARE International, National Geographic Society, Art X & Women Photograph for her projects. Etinosa’s works have been frequently exhibited in biennales, galleries, museums & photo festivals in different parts of the world.
KELVIN OFEIMU is a Nigerian writer and performing poet residing in Benin City. His works explore the complexities of identity, grief, family dynamics, mental health, abuse, and climate change. He is currently doing his first degree in Mass Communication at the University Of Benin. His work ” A WAR IN MY MOTHER’S BODY” was shortlisted for the Idumase prize for Literature and his works have been published or forthcoming on Poemhunter, Nairaland, Onyokomita, Igbo Radio, UNIBEN Reporter, Ekehuan Watch and elsewhere. When he is not writing, he is reading, blogging or watching documentaries.
MYMA BELO-OSAGIE is a member of the Advisory Board of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, partner Emerita (Of Counsel) at Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie which she co-founded in 1985, and the Vice-Chairperson of MOWAA’s Board of Directors.
NZINGA BIEGUENG MBOUP is a Dakar-based and registered Senegalese architect. In 2019, she co-founded the architecture studio WOROFILA, which specialisesin bioclimatic design and construction using earth and locally sourced biomaterials. Nzinga is also a researcher and a curator and has made significant contributions to urban and cultural heritage studies in Dakar.
OLAYINKA DOSEKUN-ADJEI is the Creative Director of Studio Contra. Her interest is in the cultural and residential sectors and public spaces. She holds a BA in Classics from the University of Oxford and an M.Arch from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design, where she was a Kennedy Scholar and is now a visiting faculty member.
OLUKEMI LIJADU known as Kem Kem, is a London and Lagos based artist and DJ. Her work explores memory, music, and the moving image, positioning sound as a living archive for the African diaspora. A Stanford University graduate, she has exhibited at ICA London, Mariane Ibrahim Gallery, and shared stages with iconic artists such as Tems.
PAPA OMOTAYO is an award winning, architect, designer, writer and film maker. Papa’s work strongly focuses on exploring the nature of culture and the context within contemporary Nigerian and the extended African condition, locally and globally. A strong believer in creating work through cross disciplinary collaboration and participation, he strives to find new possibilities for creating nuanced visual narratives in Nigeria (Africa’s) urban centres and beyond. He is the founder of A Whitespace Creative Agency and Creative Director of MOE+ Art Architecture. He currently lives and works in Lagos, Nigeria.

Committed to eco-friendly construction, he has led numerous projects that demonstrate the benefits of rammed earth technology. Eng. Peace advocates for innovative design and environmental stewardship, inspiring a shift toward sustainable architecture.
SHADRECK CHIRIKURE FBA is Edward Hall Professor of Archaeological Science and Director of the Research Laboratory for Archaeology and the History of Art in Oxford. He researches on ancient materials and technologies and has published over 150 publications. He is Fellow of the British Academy, is advisor to inter-governmental organisations currently chairs the UN Office of the Special Advisor on Africa’s STEM Knowledge Network.
TUNDE MORAKINYO is a Community Forestry and Tropical Forest Conservation Specialist with 30 years’ experience on natural resource management projects for NGOs, private and public sector. He is Executive Director for Africa Nature Investors (ANI) Foundation, focused on protection and development of Gashaka Gumti and Okomu National Parks in Nigeria.
VICTOR EHIKHAMENOR is a Nigerian visual artist and writer known for his abstract, symbolic, and politically motivated works. A 2020 National Artist in Residence at the Neon Museum and 2016 Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Fellow, Ehikhamenor has exhibited globally, including at the 57th Venice Biennale. His work spans visual art, fiction, and critical essays, appearing in major publications worldwide. Ehikhamenor is the founder of Angels and Muse, an art residency laboratory facilitating knowlege exchange on contemporary African art and culture.
WALE LAWAL is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Republic, an Africa-focused digital media platform. Previously, he led Africa-focused research at Harvard Business School and was a management consultant at KPMG. Wale holds degrees from the University of Bath, the London School of Economics and Oxford University.
YEGWA UKPO studied biotechnology in the UK and returned to Nigeria in 2004. and has worked in design, advertising, and sustainable fashion. In 2013, he co-founded Stranger, a cultural and fashion hub. In 2019, he founded Newtype, focusing on indigenous wisdom in modern contexts. Yegwa shuttles between Lagos and Cross River state, interested in worldbuilding and storytelling.
