The Unearth Roadshow is coming to your campus. Meet the fellows who trained with MOWAA and the British Museum, learn from their heritage research, and see where their projects could take you. June 2026 — ABU Zaria, Nsukka, Ibadan, Jos.
Unearth gives students and young professionals their first real experience of archaeology and heritage work — not just in the classroom, but on excavation sites and alongside the communities whose history they help uncover.
Catch the Unearth Roadshow on your campus.
Run by the Museum of West African Art with the British Museum as part of the MOWAA Archaeology Project, Unearth recruits across disciplines — from archaeology and history to biochemistry, library science and urban planning. Fellows learn online through the ONLAAH course, train hands-on at the MOWAA Institute in Benin City, and lead community heritage projects shaped together with their host universities. The result is a growing pipeline of skilled, cross-disciplinary heritage professionals for the region.
Delivered with The British Museum and delivery partners.
