The Future is Shaped by Those who Understand their Roots. This summer, young learners are invited on a journey through the stories, creativity, knowledge, and traditions that connect generations across West Africa.

Roots and Future is MOWAA's immersive arts and culture program for children (ages 5-13) —a space where making, storytelling, music, play, science and learning come together. Through hands-on experiences, children can engage with the ideas, practices, and creative expressions that shape our lives today while imagining the possibilities of tomorrow. Across 5 learning zones, children will move between art, music, storytelling, technology, history, and self-directed play, guided by artists, educators, and cultural practitioners.
